Helping the homeless and vulnerably housed across Yorkshire
Throughout our time here in the town, we have been incredibly grateful for the support of the local community and look to give back when we can. I’m writing to you today to ask for your help in doing the same.
It has been our great pleasure in recent months to support the work of Focus4Hope, a Brighouse based charity that helps the homeless and vulnerably housed across Yorkshire. Their work has included outreach involving visits to those most at risk, providing essential care packages and fundraising. We have been able to support their cause by operating a mobile dental clinic and donating food and clothes, but our help alone is not enough to tackle this problem.
The problem of rough sleeping in West Yorkshire is not limited to Calderdale alone, and tackling this requires the combined work of many people. We are reaching out to you to ask if there is any way you can help to support the mission of Focus4Hope. Whether this is through clothing drives, food donations or even financial assistance.
I have lived in Halifax all of my life, and from the Tour de Yorkshire to the 1940’s weekends I have always been amazed at what our community can do when we work together towards a common goal. I know that together there is so much we can do to help those who need it the most, and we would all be forever grateful for even the smallest assistance.
I have included my contact details below, as well as the details of Louise Reed of Focus4Hope. If you would like to find out more about the work we do, or see how you can help, please get in touch.
Kind regards,
Rachel Dilley
